Payroll Standard Transaction Setup

The Standard Transactions screen contains all the same fields as the Mass Entry screen, plus additional fields for more complex pay situations. Notice that you can enter multiple transactions, additional pay, union assignments, tax overrides, and cost allocation. Job costing is integrated with Payroll to make it easy for you to track the amount of payroll going to the client's jobs. You can assign a job and a phase in this screen so that when the payroll run is finalized, the hours and wages will be taken directly into the Job Cost file.

In the PSP system, you can also enter complex transactions:

  • Vacation Pay
  • Sick Pay
  • Holiday Pay
  • Multiple state entries within the same pay period
  • Multiple pay rates within the same pay period for the same employee
  • Multiple workers' compensation categories within the same pay period
  • Tips for restaurant employees, both cash and charged
  • Special wage-to-minimum features
